RLS Metro Breaking News - A three-alarm blaze in Elizabeth destroyed a three story building on Magnolia Avenue Monday morning.
The fire appeared to have started on the first floor shortly before 8:30 a.m. and quickly spread to the above floors, according to officials.
The mixed dwelling which contained a fish market on the first floor and apartments on the above floors were left uninhabitable and is expected to be demolished. The two neighboring homes were also damaged.
According to officials, all the residents got out of the building without any injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation because it is unsafe for fire investigators to enter structure.
Fire left more than 20 residents displaced.
