  • Want to be a Elizabeth Firefighter? Rare Opportunity to Take Test this Summer.
    Updated On: Aug 31, 2015

TAPinto.net - ELIZABETH, NJ - Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 NJ Fire Fighter Examination. This is for the entire state with paid fire departments and an opportunity that only comes once every 3 years.

This test is for Civil Service Municipalities meaning that your town hires from civil service. While Elizabeth is a Civil Service Municipality, if you live in another town you may want to check with your local fire department or municipal office as some municipalities may be volunteer or give their own type of test. The last time this test was given was 2010.

The official Fire Fighter announcement has been posted and you can apply or get more information by going to the Civil Service website by clicking here.

Vacancies are anticipated according to the Civil Service website. Application and Payment can be submitted online. The fee for the exam is $35.00. Deadline for applications is August 31, 2015.
