  • No Injuries in Elizabeth House Fire

    RLS Media - No one was injured in an afternoon fire that broke out at a house on Lafayette Street, authorities said.

    Crews responded to the 1000 block of Lafayette Street at approximately  1:24 p.m. for a house fire.

    No injuries were reported.

    Three families have been displaced. 

    According to chief, the fire was placed under control in approximately a half an hour. However, the house is uninhabitable until evaluations and repairs are made. 

    The cause of the fire remains under investigation but fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time.

    At approximately the same time, Elizabeth firefighters responded to a second fire on the 300 block of West Grand. The fire was quickly placed under control and no immediate injuries were reported.
