August 4, 2014

RLS Metro Breaking News - Firefighters battled a 4-alarm blaze that started in a two-and-a-half story abandoned home and damaged two others in Elizabeth today.

No one was injured in the blaze at 442 Marshall Street and the cause has not yet been determined.

Officials believe the fire began in the back of the home shortly after 8 p.m. and quickly spread through the two-and-half stories.

Crews battled the stubborn blaze from Marshall Street and Elizabeth Avenue until it was brought under control at 9:44 p.m.

Officials have declared the home uninhabitable.
