Christie no Longer Cares About Pension Reform | Letter to the Editor

Given this, it's time for Republican in the N.J. Legislature to face head on the fact that their leader has put New Jersey in his rear-view mirror, his every move choreographed to suit his desires, while those under him are left to explain away the failures of his administration. This starts by agreeing to work with Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney (D-Gloucester) and Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-Hudson), who have agreed to fully fund the pension in the 2016 budget they are currently working on.
With continued reports of GOP leaders in this state defecting Team Christie to support other candidates aiming for the White House, we see the governor's luster fading among his own. Let's hope that these same legislators, for the sake of New Jersey, show the same will to challenge the governor in efforts to bring about the positive fiscal policies for the pension systems.
