City of Elizabeth - Where Angels Play got started with an idea from a little girl from Mississippi in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We had built three 100% handicap accessible playgrounds for the children of the Gulf Coast. After Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey pretty hard, and New York and Connecticut, we began to respond to the coast to help out and rebuild. Then December 14th, the Newtown tradgedy, happened and we were crushed like everyone else. And I got an email from a little 9 year old girl from Mississippi thanking us for the playgrounds that we had build seven years ago. Reminding me that this may be the way that we can dig ourselves our of a horrible situation and we decided to build twenty-six playgrounds.
